It is the responsibility of the Village Administrator’s Office to provide the overall direction for the Village organization in accordance with policies established by the Village Board.  The Administrator manages the “day-to-day” operation of our full service Village, with a goal of service to the residents and business owners of the Village of Butler.  Other responsibilities are to assure that the Village operations are conducted economically, efficiently, and effectively and that the Board and Citizen’s concerns are addressed. This office also develops recommendations to the Village Board for changes in programs and operations.  In addition, the Village Administrator prepares a recommended annual budget for the Board's consideration. 

The Village Administrator also serves the Village in the capacity of the Zoning Official, and prepares communication and recommendations to the Village Board, Community Development Authority, Village Zoning Board of Appeals, Board of Review, Plan Commission and Village Park and Recreation Commission.
