If you are visiting our Website as a Butler resident or business owner, one of our goals is to connect you with Village services. This site contains a wealth of information, from the meeting agendas of the Village Board, to general information about Village departments and services. This site serves as a one-stop resource for the latest and most up-to-date Village news, events and programs.

In addition to furnishing details on Village government and services, we have forged links to related organizations including the Butler Area Chamber of Commerce as well as the Hamilton and Menomonee Falls School Districts, both which include parts of the Village.

Like many other organizations on the web today, our site is undergoing continuous development. HIGHWAY CONSTRUCTION PLANNED IN WAUKESHA COUNTY

County Trunk Highway K (Hampton Avenue)

Waukesha, WIS. – Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) and Waukesha County plan construction work on County Trunk Highway (CTH) K (Hampton Avenue) in the Village of Butler.  The project limits extend from 132nd Street to 124th Street.  The construction project will involve the rehabilitation of the existing concrete pavement, including concrete pavement repairs followed by placement of an asphalt pavement riding surface.   The project will be constructed using American Recovery and Reinvestment Act funds.

Construction activities are scheduled to begin June 14, 2010 and be completed by August 20, 2010.  The project will be constructed in phases, allowing Hampton Avenue to remain open to traffic.  At least one travel lane will be maintained in each direction on Hampton Avenue.  Parking will be prohibited along Hampton Avenue during the project.  Motorists should use caution and expect delays within the construction zone.

Stark Asphalt of Milwaukee will construct the project.  RSV Engineering, Inc. of Jefferson will provide construction management and inspection services for the WisDOT.

For more information, please contact Mr. Kevin Yanny, County Project Manager at (262) 548-7740 or Ms. Holly Merson, Project Engineer, RSV Engineering at 920-605-0453.

Village Hall Remodel Project

For the last 14 months, the Village Staff and Public Works Committee have been working on plans for a Village Hall Remodel.  The last major Village Hall remodeling project was in 1963 when the DPW garage on the back of our existing Village Hall was converted to the Library and Board/Court Room.  The Project will begin January 4, 2010 and run about 6 months.  The Village selected Selzer-Ornst Construction Services, a Wauwatosa firm that has completed several other comparable Municipal projects.  The project will consist of a complete remodel of the Fire Department, Police Department and Village Board/Court Room.  Village Hall administration and Police administration will stay open at our current location through out construction.  The Fire Department and Police Patrol services will operate out of the former Lion’s Building at the Village Park.

During construction, the Village will continue to provide Police and Fire services which have been dispatched out of the Waukesha Communication Center for the last 5 years.  All existing phone numbers will continue to connect residents to the emergency services.

The project will also give a much needed face lift to the exterior of the Building along with better utilization of our existing space at Village Hall.   A large focus on energy efficiency and reducing both redundant and long-term cost has been the committees focus.
